Jasmine Yvonne Reed

In the early morning of February 4, 2023, our Heavenly Father called home our precious Jasmine Yvonne Reed. She was only 31 years young! Jasmine was born on December 9, 1991, in Santa Rosa, California, and soon after relocated to Temple Hills, Maryland with her mother Crystal English-Sherron. Jasmine was the first baby in the family and was the bright light of our lives. As a baby, Jasmine had a bubbly personality. Jasmine grew up in Fort Washington, Maryland, and graduated from Friendly Senior High School. After graduation, Jasmine enjoyed life having traveled to several Islands in the Caribbean and cruising with her family. Jasmine’s passion for cooking led her to a career in the culinary arts where she returned to school and received her bachelor’s degree at Prince George’s Community College. Over the years, Jasmine worked as a sous chef in many restaurants until finding her dream location at Blue Waters restaurant in Temple Hills, Maryland. We will fondly remember Jasmine for her love of seafood, especially crabs! She would make her “secret sauce” which we all know was ketchup, mayo, mustard, and old bay. Jasmine also enjoyed all types of foods. She was quick to go to the latest restaurants posted on Tik Tok and Instagram, but her favorite restaurant was Eddie V’s. Jasmine was carefree! She was always showing us the latest Tik Tok dances which made us laugh and smile. Jasmine loved spending time with her family and friends and looked forward to holiday gatherings and cookouts. She was young, fun, bold and sassy and you would notice her when she walked into a room. Jasmine truly loved her family and recently started her own. She was the proud mommy to two daughters, Jordyn (age 4 ½ ) and Jupiter (age 3), and a son, Jovi (age 4 mos). Jasmine touched the lives of so many people in such a short amount of time and was able to accomplish much before her untimely passing. Keep her memory alive! Jasmine leaves to cherish her memories, Devoted and dedicated parents, Crystal and Theodore Sherron II, three angels: Jordyn, Jupiter, and Jovi; Brothers: Theodore Sherron III and Elliot Reed; Grandmother: Florine English; Aunts: Karen English, Stacey Brown, Nikki Sherron and Liz Pearson; Uncles: Gregory English, Jay Jenifer, Dean Brown; Great-Uncle: Ronald Speight; Great-Aunt: Shannon Gordon; Great-Grandfather, William Barrow; Godmother: Asiya Sabour; Godfather: Darius Hamlin; Cousins: Nicholas, Sierra, Suika, Umeno and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. “Jasmine, you never said you’re leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.”
