God blessed the late Josephine Jackson and the late Reverend Jesse Thompson. with Adline Thompson on May 7, 1933. Born in South Carolina. She grew up with her stepmother, Maggie Thompson (deceased), and siblings. She had two brothers, Jesse Thompson Jr., and Samuel Thompson (deceased), and three sisters, Elouise Cobb (deceased), Gladys Thompson (deceased), and Annie Wise. Adline was educated in the Calhoun County Public School System. Adline was a loving person with a BIG heart! She loved helping people, which led to a career working in nursing at Sibley Hospital. Adline also worked with the Department of Agriculture for several years. She enjoyed planting and gardening as a hobby. As a young woman, she met the love of her life, Walter Pinkney Sr. They married in 1950. From this union, they had seven children, Walter, Marie, Roger, Michael, Emanuel, William, and Caroline. Adline was an active member of the Old Pentecost Church in NW DC, serving as an usher and a member of the choir. She enjoyed talking on the phone, singing, and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends. Adline loved to watch talk and reality shows and tell off the characters on tv. She also loved to keep up with current events. Adline was fond of her grandchildren and often took care of them as her own. He leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted sons, Walter Jr., Roger (Queenie), Emmanuel (Ava), William Sr. (Tania) 18 grandchildren; Atlay, Tina, Gregory, Tiffany, Ubadiah Al-Laythi, Rodney, Michael, Terrence, Antonio, Malik, N’diya, Chauntise, Joanna, Shamika, Unique, Elliott, William Jr., Nia; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her three children,
