On June 22, 2021, Our beloved brother, father, uncle, Dave Albert Austin departed this earth. Leaving behind one brother Cleo “Unc C” and three sisters Gale, Becky and Edith. And his brother from ano He was a widower to Mary Austin. They had three children, Mino, Ray Ray and Renae. Also, with Rose he had five children, Phil, Kesha, Patrica, Whitney, Rose Stepson Joe Bailey. His first born was Dave Austin by Carolina Bell. He had a slew of nieces and nephew and grand children. He was preceded by Mary Austin, Rose Bailey; brothers Howard Austin, Ben Austin and Robert Earl Austin. Sister Norma Creasey. He was born on 10/21/1945 in Florence, South Carolina to Dave Austin and Edith Singletary-Austin. His early education was in Florence, South Carolina. He continued his education at Ballou Senior High School in Washingtion, DC. He grew up down Barry Farms. His occupation was painting and landscaping. He stayed in shape. He was always there for family. He kept his appearance up. And never left home without his “Towel” around his neck. He loved being the Candy man in his building.
